Dr. Soltys was raised in Fairview Heights, a small town in Southern Illinois. Growing up he was an accomplished athlete playing both varsity baseball and soccer in High School. He went on to attend the University of Southern Illinois where he earned top honors while attaining his degree in Biology with Medical Specialization. After graduating, he attended the University of Missouri School of Optometry where he completed 5 clinical externships, including 2 in the Air Force. He graduated with Honors in 1992 with his Doctorate in Optometry and also became a member of the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Society. He has practiced Optometry in Central Texas since 1992 with a focus on patient-centric primary care and currently resides in Driftwood, Texas with his German Shorthaired Pointer Bella. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, playing golf and digging for arrowheads.
